Other lands that are associated with the Mushroom Kingdom also exist on Mushroom World, such as the Beanbean Kingdom, Sarasaland, Dinosaur Land, and Yoshi's Island. In the three DIC Entertainment cartoons, there are many lands located in the Mushroom World that so far have not appeared in any game, such as Dome City, several dark forests, and the Mushroom Sea.

The manual notes 'The Mushroom Kingdom forms an entrance to the Mushroom World'. 3 are all kingdoms, or 'countries' as stated by Iggy Koopa in the manual, and each are ruled by a separate king. The Mushroom Kingdom, Star Haven, as well as all the lands are featured in Super Mario Bros. 3 being described as countries in the instruction booklet

Mushroom World is the name of the Earth-like planet where Mario and his friends live.
